I joined the department in Summer 2015 as a post-doctoral associate and will continue as a Humboldt post-doctoral fellow under Nadine McQuarrie from 2016 to late 2017. Initially studying physics and later geology, I earned my master degree at Heidelberg University in Germany conducting thermochronological studies in central China. At The University of Hong Kong I received my PhD in geology analysing sedimentary provenances of Permian strata in north China. Currently I am exploring linkages between the foreland basin thermochronological record and thermo-kinematic processes in the Bhutanese Himalaya for the past ca. 20 million years.
