Human-Environment Interactions

Human Environmental Interaction researcher

Department faculty and students are engaged in interdisciplinary research on environmental changes attributed to both natural phenomena and human activity. These investigations encompass a broad range of environmental issues including deforestation and soil erosion, atmospheric pollution, the impact of human populations on hydrologic systems (e.g., nutrient dynamics and eutrophication, geomorphologic changes in urban watersheds), the impact of climate change and natural disasters on cultural development, and records of past global change.
