We are delighted to congratulate Dr. Josef Werne on his selection for the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Global Scholar Award for the academic year 2026–2027! This prestigious honor recognizes Dr. Werne's outstanding leadership and contributions to his field, and reflects the exceptional scholarship taking place in our department. Through this award, Joe will visit the University of Adelaide (Australia), the University of Otago (New Zealand), and the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (Chile) to initiate and continue collaborative projects studying paleoclimate and environmental change in the southern hemisphere.
