We had a successful 2nd Annual Departmental Research Fair this year! We had research winners and a photo contest.
This Friday will be the second annual Departmental Research Fair, at which 13 students from the department will be presenting their research. The location is 203 Thaw.
Janine Krippner won the Outstanding Student Paper Award at the 2015 AGU Fall Meeting! She had also received the AGU Student Travel Grant to attend the meeting!
Dolly Chavez, our department's beloved receptionist and purchaser, has retired after 17 years with our department and 22 years at the University of Pittsburgh!
Pitts first annual reunion party at AGU happened on December 16th at the White Horse Pub in San Francisco thanks to the help of Alison Graettinger (PhD 2012) and Aubrey Hillman (PhD 2015) who helped organize it. We intend to make this an annual event at AGU so please stay tuned for further announcements about the location and time of next years event.
