My research focuses on the interactions between fluvial geomorphology and the transport of metals in fluvial processes.  The projects I am working on include: creating a chemical indicator for shale gas produced water pollution, quantifying the contribution of legacy contamination to agricultural floodplains in Yunnan China, and measuring the amount of floodplain accretion from surface coal mining in Pennsylvania.
