Biography

I am interested in using physical, chemical, and biological changes in visually laminated lake sediments to better understand the climate of the Pacific during the Holocene. Working in the Ecuadorian Andes and the Pacific Northwest, I hope to better understand changes in regionally and globally significant climate systems such as the El Niño Souther Oscillation (ENSO) and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) on a variety of timescales.
