I am a NASA funded NESSF scholar and a National Geographic Explorer. I am originally from Exeter, UK and got my B.S. in Geology and Geography from the University of Birmingham, and an MRes in Natural Hazards from the University of Bristol. I study explosive volcanism using both satellite imaging and ground based thermal cameras, in order to determine changes in particle size and geochemistry as an eruption develops. I conduct research in Guatemala and Japan to study actively erupting volcanoes in these countries.
