
We are pleased to announce that Carole Lojek is this year's Distinguished Alumni.
Carole was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 1981. She completed a Master of Science degree in Geology at Oklahoma State University in 1983, and an Executive Master of Business Management at the University of New Mexico in 1999. She had a career spanning 30 years in various science, engineering, and management positions in oil exploration, environmental restoration, monitoring, and remediation in Louisiana, Ohio, and New Mexico. She was employed for more than 20 years at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque where she pursued a variety of career opportunities. In her last five years at the Laboratory, she became a Nuclear Weapons Intern and Systems Engineer working on several weapon life extension programs, and finally as a Quality Engineer on a variety of weapon systems.
