APR 2026 - Sophia Lineman Contributes to the Inaugural Issue of the University of Pittsburgh's Undergraduate Law Review

The Undergraduate Law Review at the University of Pittsburgh is a student-led publication that aims to advance serious legal scholarship at the undergraduate level. It publishes original student work across a broad range of legal topics, fostering a community grounded in thoughtful analysis and intellectual rigor. The Review serves as a forum for developing legal writing, critical reasoning, and sustained engagement with pressing legal questions. 

MAY 2025 - GES Pape Endowment Award

Congratulations to Poushalee Banerjee on being awarded the Arthur & Barbara Pape Endowment Award!

This award from the Pymatuning Laboratory of Ecology (PLE), University of Pittsburgh, for her research proposal. This grant will help further my ongoing research work on Eastern Hellbenders. This vulnerable amphibian species has been a candidate for listing under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) since December 2024.

MAY 2025 - GES Students are Student Sustainability Champions!

Multiple GES students were recognized at the annual PittSustainability Awards as Student Sustainability Champions! 

These graduating students made significant contributions to sustainability both on- and off-campus during their time at Pitt. We look forward to seeing what they accomplish as alumni!

NOV 2024 - GES Sustainable Food Systems Class Donate 57lbs. of Produce!

The Sustainable Food Systems class, taught by Corey Flyyn, spends most weeks at an urban farm learning and working with community leaders. This week we had the privilege of helping Ebony Lunsford-Evans, better known as Farm Girl Eb, get her urban farm in the West End, 1 Sound Farm, ready for the winter.
