Congratulations to Mare McGrory, an undergraduate student in the Dietrich School and Frederick Honors College — Geosciences: Environmental Science for being named to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program!

Emily Elliott, a professor in the Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Geology and Environmental Science, led a cohort of students to publish research conducted alongside the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Taking Home the Bronze!

A video on Riversense, a Pittsburgh Water Collaboratory tool working on improving local access to clean rivers, received a bronze Telly Award in the non-broadcast/general sustainability category. The video was produced by Speed, Zetter and media producer Patrick Walsh. 

Multiple GES students were recognized at the annual PittSustainability Awards as Student Sustainability Champions! 

These graduating students made significant contributions to sustainability both on- and off-campus during their time at Pitt. We look forward to seeing what they accomplish as alumni!
